ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Juliana,

an actress and drama teacher and I recently completed my two-year journey studying the Feldenkrais Method in Vienna.

I'm thrilled to share that I have obtained my certification to teach Awareness Through Movement. But my learning doesn't stop there – for the next two years, I'll be continuing my studies under the guidance of Donna Ray, a renowned Feldenkrais practitioner. My goal is to acquire a comprehensive education and master the hands-on technique called Functional Integration (FI) to further enrich my practice.

The inspiration to become a Feldenkrais practitioner arose during the pandemic when I couldn't engage in traditional acting training with others. To fill this void and adapt to the situation, I sought out lessons that I could practice at home, alone, and within the confines of a limited space. My familiarity with Awareness Through Movement lessons from my time at the International Commedia School in Copenhagen led me back to it.

Engaging in these lessons not only allowed me to regain a conscious connection with my body but also significantly reduced my anxiety. When I eventually reunited with my acting training group, I proposed integrating these lessons into our practice. The impact was profound – the group became more focused, present, and creative.

Motivated by the transformative power of this method, I decided to commit to a 4-year training program to become a certified Feldenkrais practitioner. I firmly believe that this approach benefits not only creatives such as actors, dancers, and musicians but every individual.

Having dedicated over two decades to teaching theatre, storytelling and the visual arts to a wide range of audiences, I now aspire to bring my knowledge of acting and the Feldenkrais method together. My aim is to create a powerful and enduring experience for those seeking to enrich their well-being, presence, and awareness through a mindful and attentive approach.
